Faerber

Faerber is a Berlin-based DJ and producer from Hamburg.

Drawing upon a broad and learned understanding of the industry, his DJ sets intuitively wander between techno and house as comfortably as they do acid and other genres. With years of experience playing to varied crowds, his observations inform a dialogue with the audience, allowing him to explore the darker corners of electronic music with careful consideration of soul and rhythm.

His productions channel high energy dancefloor sentiments via dizzying cross-rhythms and angular melodies. Harmonies are turned sideways, spiralling through precise staccato percussion whilst relentless kick drums march with intent. The effect is equal parts disorienting and hypnotic, luring you into a world that is unnerving at times, cathartic at others.

As someone who has committed much of his life to music, Faerber’s involvement behind the scenes plays a strong role in shaping his position as an artist. He has worked as a booker for PAL in Hamburg since its inception and continues to contribute to its reputation for forward-thinking, experimental bookings to this day, whilst also holding a residency.

2018 he founded TILT, an imprint which serves as an outlet for artists, including himself, to interrogate the boundaries of club music without restraint.
