Junubia

I am Junubia ethnically from South Sudan, born and raised in Denmark, based in the Netherlands. I play a range of house music, with a focus on deep and melodic house. I strive to give a feeling of belonging and discovery in my sets, as I believe that it is important to be welcoming and open minded to everyone around you.

Junubia is a Netherlands-based house DJ who bridges continents through her selections. Rooted in her South Sudanese heritage, she explores the various textures of house music, drawing heavy influence from the foundational sounds of Chicago and Detroit, the rhythmic depth of South African house, and the sophisticated grooves of the French scene. Known for her ability to take a crowd on a transformative journey, Junubia’s sets are carefully curated to foster inspiration and a profound sense of belonging. Her international presence is growing, with notable appearances at events including the iMullar Sound System in Accra, Mist in Nairobi, and the world-renowned Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
