Pass-The-Aux

Pass-The-Aux is a drop-in format for music producers to share demos and unreleased music, allowing for contextualization, idea articulation, feedback, encouragement, and networking. One of the main features of Pass-The-Aux is having one’s music played loud in a professional sound system. This is an opportunity that is getting increasingly rare for a growing number of music producers as production and distribution become more insular experiences. Pass-The-Aux is also a great way to check one’s mix, and get a sense for what the song feels like outside of the studio - how well one’s artistic intention translates in a different context. Our vision is to offer a low threshold experience for creative and artistic experimentation - to reframe the public not as consumers or passive listeners but as active participants in shaping the meaning and direction of the evolution of music by introducing them earlier in the creative process.
