The Chicago native has made waves playing in well renown clubs and venues across the world from BRET Amsterdam, Detroit's TV Lounge to YuYu in México City. Continuously re-arranging a unique record bag collected from the depths of Human Head and Academy records New York, Berlin's Spacehall to Syncrophone and A-1 in Paris. A true record digger and purveyor of the dance floor experience, Ricardo Roessel is a visionary DJ and event curator raised through the culturally thick lens of Chicago's underground. Known best for playing extended vinyl sets, showcasing a vast influence of rare 90's US & UK house, breaks, minimal, electro, experimental, IDM, Y2K era progressive, trance and tech house. Consistently blurring the lines between genres old and new, finding the common thread within the lost and forgotten yet timeless records mixed with a new age sound. All sewn effortlessly into the right context with technical skills and precision, presented to the dance floor in a symbiotic and loose natured feeling. Born and raised in the evolving mecca of house music, quickly adapting and becoming a key contributor within the local dance community as a creative mind behind some of Chicago's most elusive underground parties and events. Co-producing and booking events under the success of Body Response, a party series running since 2017. To now working with south side based Sound-Systems such as The Post and Durty Truth, gaining recognition and playing among some of the foundational heads and pioneers such as Chez Damier, Boo Williams, Darryn Jones, Mike Dunn, Gene Hunt and the Chosen Few Dj's. All while taking cues playing on lineups alongside modern tastemakers like Nicolas Lutz, Malika, The Ghost, Unai Trotti and Evan Baggs.
