DJ and production duo from Estonia

Squash is the collaborative project of Steffan Todorović and Joonas Arro, a duo responsible for some of the most consistent, no-nonsense club music in recent years. Formed in 2018 under their former alias Abdul Raeva, the pair quickly became a defining force within a new wave of acid and progressive house. Since their 2019 debut EP, the duo have released on key labels including Echocentric, Physical Education and Talman Records, earning a reputation for driving, direct rave music with a distinct edge. In recent years, they have explored a wider spectrum of sounds through a number of aliases, with DJ Deep State and Gearmaster among the most well-known. In 2026, the duo introduced Squash as their primary outlet — a sharper evolution of their sound, built for the club. Whether it’s shape-shifting psychedelia, spongy basslines or punchy grooves, the focus remains the same: forward-thinking dancefloor material. Outside the project, both artists bring extensive individual experience. Joonas is an established sound designer and mix engineer, best known for his work as Rashida Prime and Ray Faded, while Steffan runs several independent labels including Gestalt Records, Coymix and Terrazzo. Together, the duo also operate Healer Records, Slipdisc Recordings and Club Therapy. With Squash, the emphasis is simple — effective club music without compromise.
