Brain Rays brings an hour tipped to his name. Contemporary downtempo chuggers with an ambient tilt. The mix hovers around halftime and 100bpm to deliver a rhythm-maxed hour of experimental sonics and various ear worms, all whilst retaining a fairly lush and human character unafraid of veering into grungy guitar washes or hip-hop abstractions. Big rec for fans of that new wave of leftfield artists such as Ciel, Dj Polo, and GILA.
